Who is 'Ronnie Boy Kids'

Filipino-American-actor-turned-Children’s Edutainer, Ron Nery Jr. aka ‘Ronnie Boy’, released his debut children’s album “It’s Me, Ronnie Boy!” on August 16.

Placing importance on self-recording and editing his own music videos filmed in his home in Southern California, Ronnie Boy puts a fresh spin on children’s music spanning multiple genres including hip-hop, house, alternative rock, and reggae pop. Working with music producers Nate Evans, Marc Lawrence, and Jujuan Gailey, whose credits include ‘Baywatch’ and Disney’s Noelle, Ronnie Boy features live & animated children from multiple ethnic backgrounds in his music videos such as I Like Your Hair, 8, and Tummy Time as inclusion is of utmost importance to him.

As one of few Asian-American figures in the children’s music genre, Ronnie Boy hopes to be a positive influence and inspire other people of color in the community through his music & actions. He volunteers weekly at his local public library reading books to kids, as well as the city’s Adaptive Program that provides recreational activities to teens & adults with developmental disabilities.

"It's Me, Ronnie Boy!” was created alongside my diverse group of brothers, all with a like-minded vision of making easy-to-listen, uncomplicated, and catchy songs that bang, have heart, & deliver a clear message kids can relate to on some level across multiple age ranges. From cleaning up toys & overcoming fears of monsters, to embracing our differences & honoring our grandmas, we’ve paired these messages with a variety of music genres that both kids & adults can enjoy!

I’ve meticulously planned & edited - frame by frame - each of my music videos with hopes of getting the heart of our messages across in entertaining fashion. Ultimately, we hope our music does more than just sound catchy & look visually pleasing, but truly serves as an inspiration & confidence builder to our young ones, aka our FUTURE.
